Picking a Wedding Headband

April 20, 2011 by

There are loads of bridal accessories available now and so many places to buy them from such as bridal boutiques, online retailers, accessory shops and auctions. Don’t worry if you think there’s too much choice and you don’t know where to start. To help I thought I would give you my view on why I think wedding headbands are better than any types other bridal accessories. Feel free to leave comments if you think I’m wrong.

They usually cost less money than bridal tiaras yet they can still have the same sparkle

If money’s an issue what seems better to you a quality wedding tiara which could cost you £150 if you buy it from a bridal shop or a wedding headband which is less expensive and can always be worn as a tiara.

They can be worn with almost any hairstyle

Many brides love wedding headbands because they can be used in any hair style that they choose. So if you’re really struggling on deciding how to wear your hair and your wedding day is looming, choose a headband so when you’ve finally decided on how your wedding hair style, you’ve got something to decorate it with.

Wedding Headbands can be worn by both the bride and her bridesmaids

Unlike tiaras which seem to be just for brides, wedding headbands can be worn by the bride and the bridesmaids. This means that when it comes to choosing your bridal hair accessories for you and your bridesmaids, you could have co-ordinating headbands. This doesn’t mean that they’re the same but you could wear a thicker or multiple band headband and the bridesmaids a daintier version.

They are easy to position

I know I’ve previously said this but there really nothing easier than a headband to position. With a wedding headband all you need to do is create your hairstyle and slip the headband into place. Unlike some other bridal hair accessories you don’t need to arrange your hair into a particular style to keep the accessory in place. Unlike other bridal hair accessories, a wedding headband allows you to remove it if it begins to annoy you and it won’t wreck your hair do. Do this with any other type of bridal hair accessory and you’re hair my end up looking a mess.

Bridal headbands can always be worn again

Now you could argue that other bridal accessories can be used after your wedding day and you’re right, grips, pins, combs can be used again but usually require you to style your hair in a certain way for them to stay in properly. If you’re able to do this then great but if you’re more like me who likes to brush and go, I just can’t be bothered with the faffing, then the humble headband is a great choice. I’d much rather slip on a headband and head out the door. Like you, I like to get value for money so buying something that can be used again and again is definitely a quality I like and with wedding headbands you can do just that. Since bridal headbands can be use to add glamour to a casual outfit and still look perfect with a posh frock you can’t really go wrong.
